Win 8 and Intel Graphics Status

Post by pfelberg »

Hello Everyone,

Sorry if the topic is not new but I am in a hurry to by a new note and I need to clarify this.

Concerning Windows 8 / 8.1. Is Arena running stable with it? A simple YES/NO answer is fine.
What about the new Intel Graphic Cards as the Family 4xxx? Is this GPU already officially compatible, or is it still a NO GO to Arena?

I have no much options around. It must be a PC and most models available around are running with Intel Grpahics.

Thanks in advance.

Paulo

I took a quick peek at the benchmark thread again, and it looks like the majority of the people are still on Win 7. We've been running Win 8 / 8.1 on our office PCs and a few live laptops, and it works fine. Personally I like Win 8 more than Win 7. :o

We're still not officially supporting the Intel HD series. A lot of people use them without problems, but performance wise it's subpar and when you run into problems, we can't support you. That's why we continue to advise against it.

For what it's worth, I use arena 4 with Windows 8.1 for shows all the time and it works great.
