Layer Opacity via MIDI-Cntrlr

Post by beatzandboyz »

Hey guys,

I did a quick search on the forum as well as the internet, of course and probably not the whole thing, but I got a question and need your expertise:
I'm able to set the layer, clip and composition opacity to "external audio", right? (under transform) - If I'd like to switch between "external audio on" and "please just keep it at 100%" I'd, if it was an effect, just map a key of the midi controller to the "bypass button" or smth. - The transform thingy is missing such a feature (and of course the bypass means "completely off", instead setting it to a specific parameter).

Is there any way to switch between audio reactive opacity and "100%" opacity with just a tip of a button? I'm sorry if it's not quite clear what I mean, really little sleep. ;)

Thanks a lot in advance

PS: If I'm just missing a effect that could do this feel free to slap me with what ever you want.

Yeah, that behaviour could be improved / made more intuitive. We'll have some options for it on Res 5.

For now, you can use an Iterate effect, with Iterations set to 0.02 and StartOpacity set to FFT.

I'd prefer a trout like on the good old days on the IRC-Chat. - I'll try out your suggestion and I'm looking forward to Res5 - guess Bonne is already busy testing the sh#t out of it! =)
