I just reinstalled everything on my computer and now whenever I connect an hdmi cord to send it out to the 2nd monitor, it crashes when I select that output in any way (window, full, advanced). The advanced screen comes up and just stays black - if I click, it stops responding. I've reinstalled, moved the config files, rolled back the Nvidia drivers and still nothing.
Strangely, after it crashes my computer will be extremely slow moving and will even try to change my color scheme for performance. Even though my laptop is nowhere even close to maxing out. As soon as I unplug the HDMI, the speed returns. I'm guessing it has something to do with the Intel graphics combined with my dedicated GPU. But I already have the global 3D setting set to the GPU, and turned the 2nd monitor mode to compatibility instead of performance like it says in the FAQ.
