Macbook pro, Scrolling causes frame rate jumps and lags.

So I've come across yet another weird issue.

Ive seen this happen on 4.2, 5.0 and 5.1 on a mid 2012 macbook pro and two 2015 macbook pros. With single DVI or 2 DVI out setups.

When I try to scroll through my deck the frame rate jumps to around 80 or 100 fps and the clip that is currently playing lags. The moment I stop scrolling. It gets back to normal. This doesnt happen all the time. But the frequency has been increasing.

I've had my KORG nano Kontrol 2 plugged in at all times. If you guys think maybe that's related.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

We've heard of this happening on Mavericks and Yosemite. Upgrade to El Capitan and it's gone.
