Same output in two destination

Post by pette »

Hi,
I have a macbook pro retina.
I want to connect a destination with the HDMI output and an other destination with the thunderbolt port.
It is possibile to send the same output to the 2 different destination?
thanks

yes as soon as you connect both outputs, they will be available as screen output.

create a virtual screen with the resolution of your outputs, do your mapping in it,
then create 2 more screens-these will be your physical outputs-, with one slice each, slice input from the virtual screen.
this way you you don't have to do the same slice mapping twice.

Be aware there's a delay between the HDMI outputs and the Thunderbolt outputs. Not a problem if your sending the same source to two different rooms, big problem if they're right next to each other!

Btw, there is delay property for screen in R5, so you can set delay for faster screen.

I've had a quick play with the delay feature, but we've often got live camera feeds in the system so we are always trying to minimise delay.
