MIDI mapping: create note shortcut

Post by Rene »

How can I manually change/add a MIDI note e.g. C3 to D4? - I can change CCs manually, but not notes. Do I miss simething or is it just not possible?

Yeah it's not possible to manually change the midi note value. You,ll need to use MIDI learn to remap it.

Hmm, if there were a little documentation on how the MIDI prefs are stored in the XML file, it might be straightforward to make an editor program for MIDI assignment.

The guy using Ableton who I'm attempting to keep up with needs me to change all my Midi triggers to Channel 1.

There doesn't appear to be the relevant pull-down to alter the mapping.

Is there a particular bit of the XML I'm looking for? Pretty hard to decipher.

Or is there a fancy editor I can use on the file?
