What kind of computer do you use on stage?

We think most people use a laptop nowadays but 5 years ago shuttles were quite popular. We're curious to hear what you use now.

I'm using a pc tower at the moment. But it's big, heavy and not very practical in my opinion.

(going to buy a laptop in the next 2 months. Still haven't decided if i'll go for pc or mac.)

Small/single screen show - PC laptop
Large/dual or triplehead show - shuttle

pc laptops fo me wether running single dual or tripple headsetup. i used to drag a shuttle around a few years ago, im so glad laptops now have enough power to do the business

I'm a Mac fanboy so I use pretty much every model laptop they brough out. iBook G4, MacbookPro, MacBook. You know, just so I have to carry around pretty much every video adapter known to man

Home-built PC tower in a custom roadcase with controllers built in. Fairly bulky and heavy but find it's a much more powerful solution than any laptop I can currently afford.

i don't go onstage - its for musicans and actors...

I use my MPB mainly but also more powerful machines if / when needed.

Also having a much better notebook - I still prefer to vj with a 3 years old asus (cheapy+ugly) notebook. Why? Because it works (thanks to dxv, i can even go 3 layers tripleHead2go setup) and:
I wont get a crisis, when I breaks! (Which happens more often than nowadays djs/vjs think.)
