If you are experiencing problems with Resolume please read the following first:
If Resolume won't start at all.
- Make sure you are up to date with your drivers, especially the ones for your graphic card. If the problems started right after you updated, you'll want to try rolling back a version.
- Move the config.xml file and move your compositions. This will force Resolume to start with the default comp and preferences.
- If it still won't start then please send your log file to mail@resolume.com.
- For the location of all these files, see below.
If you're having trouble getting Resolume to work properly (for instance the output is black or no sound is heard)
- Make sure you are up to date with your drivers, especially the ones for your graphic card. If the problems started right after you updated, you'll want to try rolling back a version.
- Use the search function to see if somebody else had the same problem, and more importantly, a solution.
-If you can't find your problem on the forum, please use the feedback tab of the preferences to send us your log files. Also be sure to include the necessary info for your problem, preferably with clear steps on how we can reproduce it.
If you're having trouble getting Resolume to work as expected (for instance cue points are not remembered, or the autopilot doesn't move to the next clip)
- Read the manual.
- Read the manual. Again.
- Use the search function to see if somebody else had the same problem, and more importantly, a solution.
- Only if you can't find your problem on the forum, create a new topic. When creating a new topic, please provide the necessary info on your hardware and software setup (operating system, graphic card, Resolume version, codec and filetypes used). Most importantly, be as clear as possible in describing your issue. The problem may be as clear as day to you, but if we need to guess at what's happening, it becomes very hard to help you. A good way to report a problem is to outline it in simple steps we can follow, and tell us where it's going wrong.
Example:
1. Create a new composition
2. Trigger a clip in layer 1
3. Apply the Colorize effect on it
4. The clip now turns black, and it should turn red.
PS Be careful your caps lock doesn't get stuck during all this.
If a clip does not play, or does not play correctly.
You can send these directly to mail@resolume.com. If your files are bigger than 10MB, please use wetransfer.com.
