to grab 1024x768 needs to be scaled
Your output needs to be scaled to what Intensity can recognize.
Up: 1080 per Intensity spec
or
Down:720 per Intensity spec.
Many solutions.

yes yes...all right! But that's not what I want.... I just want to plug an iPad (with kinda desktop resolution) to the Intensity Shuttle...without any scaler. possible?

unless your Ipad can output a resolution and refresh rate the BM intensity can see then no. I don't have an Ipad, but I've used them before, and I'm sure this is possible, as you can use the component cable set to output 720p
Re: Intensity Shuttle question - How grab 1024x768
I've done this with the ipad hdmi out device into an internal intensity pro and with the vga out device into a cheap vga to s-video toy then into the intensity. It worked fine both ways. The biggest irritation is that the ipad apps I've found so far do not follow any standards reguarding output rotation orientation or resolution. Only one I've seen let me choose. And most apps do not support output. Its not enabled by default, they have to code for it.
I settled on using the vga -> s-video method as my matrix switch is a native s-video device and I like maintaining routability in case the pc blows chunks and I need to switch sources driving the projectors. I've discovered that a bunch of drunks in a club can't tell the difference between 1024x768 and s-video. The hardware is cheaper and I can run 6 slices with no problems.

That's the one I use... 6 of them fed from a 5 port displayport card and the vga out of the ipad. The ipad visualizers are great for background fill.

Actually that is a pretty crappy scan converter, I have a couple of them and have never liked them, they produce a pixelated image, and have tearing issues. You get what you pay for..
Personally i'd get the AV tool box scan converter, 5x the price, but worth every penny. A decent pro video brand name unit, like Extron, Kramer, Scan Do, or TVone would also be a good consideration.

No argument there, I've tossed 3 in the last year. But I run 8 of the damned things, I can't afford nice. I never go on the road without spares. I have noticed that the s-video out is much better than the composite rca jack. Much more better than it should be, or rather, the composite out is that bad.
