At the moment I am shooting clips for and preparing a new AV-performance which is going to use alpha channels a lot and was just praying that DXV alpha support would be released before the performance takes place. I am really relieved now!
Hej, last week I bought myself a Novation Launchpad. Since (afaik) Resolume Avenue does not support Midi Out to let the Buttons glow I coded a little sketch right before a gig in processing. if you know how to patch or are willing to learn it you could probably use puredata or max/msp to analyse the sound to detect the bpms and then send random midi notes to a virtual midi device. in resolume you just have to define the right midi notes to your clips. in a simple version there would be ...
