7.22.8 problems

Hello.

I know I haven't posted in some time.

But I have had to update 7.22.8

Loading and quit times are horrible.

Maybe 3-5 minutes to startup. And 10+ to shutdown.

Also using the bypass buttons now have a 2-3 second delay after using them. To turn on and off. Also have had resolume freeze and reload it self at times when we use them. Had a guest vj load into our composition last week and when we turned off the bypass it froze and we couldn't start the show.

I'm OK with the fact I have a 20mb composition for and 1000's of clips which cause it to take longer to load. But really 5 minutes and then trying to add clips or change things is another 1-2 minute wait. Every time you update the software these issues always come back to be a problem.

Why does it take so long for resolume to unload from memory? It makes no sense. We have restored to ending the task after we choose quit.

Also I have sent probably 20-30 crash reports in the last 2 weeks and have received no reply to them. And saying it's a problem with the composition does nothing to resolve the problem. Why can't you see what in the composition is causing the problem.

The cpu % gets pegged to 90% when loading but looking at the resources we can find a processor that is pegged to the max.

I still can't belive that what we use resolume to do is more than anyone else and that we are the only ones with the problems.

I have invited any one of your staff to come here and look at the system in real life so you see the nightmare we have most days.

Pleaae some real help and a plea to stop breaking and causing problems that were fixed in the previous versions to only come back to haunt us.

I appreciate that.

But it doesn't fix why when a new version comes out and it breaks what was previously fixed?

The new issue with the bypass freezing and taking so long to enable and disable on groups is horrible.

Note does it explain that the multitude of crash reports have not been responded to.

Loading my compo in 7.22.8 causes resolume crash. Sometimes, if I delete config.xml and start resolume with default demo composition and then I load my compo, it works. But sometimes not. I had to roll back to some previous versions of Resolume to load my compo (now I am on 7.22.4 and it works).
Since my composition is large (35mb file, more than 100 decks), start over is not an option for me. In a future, a tool for checking composition integrity would be welcomed.
Also, if I have a truncated dxv file Resolume crash when it is triggered. A tool for checking videos integrity would also be welcomed.

Now I use 7.23. It seems to be faster in loading times and deck switching. But in a whole night it crashes randomly around 2 or 3 times... Sometimes it crash closing advanced output window. I report the crash every time it happen.
I had some truncated DXV files from a faulty ssd, but I tested them one for one with alley (loading a file, and if it crashed delete it, and so on...). It happened also with a dxv not downloaded correctly. This kind of things happen, so I insist that a tool that checks a composition integrity (and the files, plugings... that are linked to it) would be welcomed to ensure everything will go smooth and no surprise crash during showtime.
