Set speed on dashboard

Hi,
thanks for the consistently best online support in the world!

I have a quick question:

I have an effect with the opacity bpm synced and an envelope. So the effect comes on for a beat and then goes off for three beats. I can map the speed slider via MIDI but I can't seem to link that speed slider to a dial in the dashboard. Is that not possible or am I missing something?

So no way of assigning the speed slider to a dashboard dial? May I enquire why, since it's so easily MIDI mappable?

Speed is a property of a parameter. It's not a parameter by itself. If it would be it would have to have it's own animations with it's own speed, and so on..

That's all fine but I still don't really understand why I can't then map a property to the dashboard. In my opinion, anything that can be MIDI mapped should be mappable to the dashboard. That would make the dashboard way more functional. I often find myself wanting to map things there but not being able to. Speed is one thing, play direction another. I guess that's a feature request!
