Midi mapping play pause button for a timeline parameter

I'd like 1 button to play and pause (or stop and restart) the timeline controlling a parameter. Is there anyway to do that, mapping it to play or pause just makes it toggle forwards and backwards.

I've mapped the button to speed now, which works, but why bother with a pause if you cant map it and make it do anything?

And it doesnt seem to work on another parameters speed on the same effect slot at the same time...Again, I ask you to go and look at vdmx and numberfx, unless this is a bug and it should work?

Ah, but now i have another clip that I'd like to restart the timeline on a play once, click the button, restarts the timeline, midi mapping reverses playback. So how do I fix that?

With the same midi note?

one midi note assigned to play forwards, it doesn't restart but toggles forward reverse playback of the time line (this is in effect parameters)
