Moving Clip Position ( Transform )

Post by VJ Psyberpixie »

I have a very Tedious project coming up, I have to resize and move clips and layers for a mapping project.

Is there a way to click and drag the file to position it, instead of doing the X and Y coordinates ?

Thanks in advance for any tips :geek:

You can drag n drop slices in the advanced Output, but inside you comp you will need to use the X/Y stuff

You can assign an keyboard key to the Selected clip's transform position X and set the shortcut mode to Mouse, horizontal. Set the range so you'll have finer control.
Repeat for Position Y, setting the mode to Vertical.
Exit shortcut mapping.
Now when you hold this keyboard key and move the mouse, it will move the selected clip.

Enter Keyboard Shortcut mapping.
click on the Position X on the selected clip panel,
push a keyboard key,
now you should see the "Composition Selectedclip Video Effects Transform Position X" shortcut created.
