Resolume Arena transition between scenes

Post by casvamluijtelaar »

Hey everyone,

For a job I'm basically creating an image carousel that has to fade between several different scenes every X seconds. one scene exists out of multiple pictures that are mapped over multiple displays.

I currently mapped all the images so that every scene is one column:

Is this the correct way to do this? I basically need to fade between columns every x seconds. There is also one input that stays constant between every scene, which I currently resolve by just duplicating it in every column. once again, is this the best way to do this?

Thanks!

Duplicating clips is fine, there is also an Ignore column trigger option you can use on empty clips. That will leave the playing clip in the layer playing on column launch.

Column automation and timing is not available in Resolume currently.
There are some ways you can achieve something like this. Using auto pilot on clips which have their duration synced could be one, but using an external app via OSC could be better.

Alright ignoring columns, is there ANY way to animate between scenes that have multiple clips on a timer? I could setup an OSC communication but I really don't want to unless absolutely necessary.

You can have the clips on layers in auto pilot. If their durations are set up to keep them in sync, your scenes should be in sync. BPM synced clips would give the best long term results.
