Videologies2 by Dan Chelger

A brand new pack that includes explorations with a recently developed analog video device.

This pack includes a series of experiments made with a new analog equipment based on "The Wobbulator", a device built in 1968 by Nam June Paik. The difference with the original is the portability: this one has been built inside an Atari 2600 Retro Game Console!

Drawings turned into VJ loops.

Warning! Do not attempt to adjust your monitors. An unidentified frequency has taken control of the horizontal and vertical wavelengths of your signal.

Tearing through the pixels, tearing through the screens. Projectors flicker and burn out, LED screens lose sync and die. Relentless, this pack destroys everything in its path.

Fluid motions and continuous transformations — endless analog currents of liquid energy that twist, unfold, and distort, always in perpetual motion.

From the Videologies creator...

Digital imitating analog.

Made by Dan Chelger

Filmmaker, Audiovisual Teacher and Visualist.

His artistic ouvre is manly abstract, based on several analog and A/D techniques, using vision mixers, FX processors, hardware video synths, bendings and DYI developments.

For him, the creative process must involve principles like recycling, restoration and re purposing of obsolete technologies. Also he considers that live visual performance must be deeply tactile, just like with music instruments.
