LUT

LUTs are files that quickly color correct your footage.
You could call them Instagram filters for your footage, though don't say that to your cinematographer friends.

LUTs, shorthand for Lookup Table, can be used in Resolume Arena, Avenue and Wire.
Resolume comes installed with a couple of LUTs for you to work with and LUTs can be found on the internet, both free and paid.

Arena & Avenue

To use a LUT in Arena or Avenue you will need to add the LUT effect from the effect panel onto your clip, layer, group or composition. From the you can load a LUT by either hitting the "load"-button or dragging an dropping a LUT from your OS onto the parameter.

Note that LUTs are treated like effects in Arena and Avenue.
You can adjust how much of the LUT is applied using the opacity slider.

You can also change the blend mode just like with regular effects to apply the LUT with a given blend mode - which is totally not how LUTs should be used but it does allow for some fun experimentation!

Wire

Resolume Wire has three nodes that deal with LUTs: LUT, LUT 3D Resource and LUT 3D In.

The LUT 3D In node allows you to create an input node for LUTs, identical to the LUT effect in Arena & Avenue (The LUT effect is a Wire patch).

The LUT 3D Resource node is used to load LUT' into your Wire patch when you don't need the interactivity of the LUT 3D In node. This node can also be used if you need a collection of multiple LUTs.

The LUT node is processing node which takes an Texture or Color and applies a LUT to it.
Yeah, you read that correctly, Wire allows you to apply LUTs to collections of colors so you can color grade your colors - radical!

Tech Notes

Resolume only supports the .cube extension when importing LUTs.

The LUTs that are shipped with Resolume are copyright protected and cannot be resold, shared or otherwise redistributed.

The installed LUTs are meant to be used on content that's exported in a non-logarithmic color space.
