Resolume 7.6 Released!
This update takes the customization of Arena and Wire to a whole new level.
We've got undockable panels, customizable interfaces, color coded nodes and multi-screen support for you.
Besides numerous bug fixes we've added a brand new video exporter to Resolume Wire.
Custom Layouts
We’ve taken the layouts to a whole new level with this update.
Arena, Avenue and Wire now have undockable panels.
This feature lets you create custom multi-screen interfaces with ease.
Wire now has moveable panels, so you can create custom UI’s that fit your needs.
Colored Nodes
To continue this wave of customization, we would like to introduce you to colored nodes.
Color coding nodes helps you to organize your patch.
In addition to this we've given the comment node the option to be hollow.
This helps you to group nodes together, all in the name of beign organized!
Video Exporter
You can now export the video from your patch directly from Wire.
After you’ve made your latest Wire masterpiece you can easily export it to a video file using the brand new Video Exporter. The Video Exporter inherits all it's features from the Arena/Avenue exporter, so expect all your favorite codecs to be included.
Dashboard
Wire has a new tab called the Dashboard.
In the Dashboard you can reorder your input nodes.
The order you make in the Dashboard will be the order that shows up in the Arena/Avenue interface when running your patches.

Resolume 7.5.0 Release | Auto DMX Universe Spanning in Arena, Auto Instance Spanning in Wire
Arena DMX Spanning
When working with LED strips or a lot of fixtures you had to manually manage multiple DMX universes in the Advanced output of Arena. But not anymore! with version 7.5 Arena will automatically create as many universes as you like. This is huge time-saver when working with many DMX universes.
Wire
This version of Wire comes with several cool new features, such as auto-repeat for instance counts, interpolated Read, multi-pass ISF, MIDI Program Change nodes and a Trim node. All MIDI and OSC nodes are now instanceable and with more alignment tools you can easily make your patches more organized and readable.

New footage! Laba, Carolina S. Otero, DJVB
We welcome to the label two new footage artists: Laba and Carolina S. Otero.
Laba is a visual artist based in Poland and his first release is rather awesome. LightsPatterns is a wall of controlled lights made in Resolume, audio reactive and BPM synced. It requires no additional effects or plugins. Along with the 80 clips already rendered, you will get the Resolume composition together with the instructions to make your own clips, any size you want.
Coming from Madrid, Carolina S. Otero released her first pack DarkAttraction, a collection of classical sculptures wireframed and glitching.
DJVB is back with VirtualStageFX, a pack designed to be used as a virtual stand-in for those occurrences when using pyrotechnics and other effects isn't possible.

Resolume 7.4.1 Release | New Shape & Text Nodes
This first update after the Wire introduction fixes a few crashes and bugs reported after our initial release. And you know what? We threw in a couple of new nodes too! Check out the release video below.
Wire Fix List
#15688 Multi-line support for String In, String, Concatenate and Substring
#15694 Wire doesn't boot for user names with non-ascii characters in their name (like ñ and ö)
#15698 Added Polygon and Distance Lines shape nodes. Negate now also works on shapes, and added Move for cheaper shape translations
#15706 Crash when adjusting or requesting the datatype or flow in input nodes (resulting in some crashes in other nodes too)
#15714 Default ISF shader comes with some documentation
#15724 Wire crashes when Resolume shuts down its Syphon/Spout output
#15725 MIDI input device disappears when trying to enable
#15727 Added new examples: Screen Shake, Loops, Moving Bars and Gamma Correction
#15733 Added Count Lines, Count Words, Read Line and Read Word nodes, for all your lyric handling needs
#15734 Clamp doesn't support multi instance with float2, 3 and 4
#15751 Crash setting Expand to event flow
#15754 Renamed Toggle's input to Flip
#15755 Transport Play sends out Is Playing
#15758 Equal and Not Equal now work on strings too
Avenue & Arena Fix List
#15300 Crash trying to register on some old drivers or some unsupported GPU
#15294 Having more then one instance of a Wire source loaded in Arena and saving it in the editor causes a crash
#15736 Dropping sources to the clip grid not working in Avenue 7.4
#15738 Transition set to Random is not really random, picks one blend, then uses that for every transition
Hot Fix Tue 29 June
In 7.4.1 we added the ability for FFGL plugin developers to change the values of a drop down parameter while the plugin is running, but we inadvertently made the options disappear all-together ;-(
This hot fix resolves that and 2 more regression issues.
#15808 FFGL choice params not showing up
#15812 Column colors are not being loaded
#15814 Random freezes loading decks

Wire Help: Video Course, Articles, Live Streams, Slack
We must admit, we were quite nervous when we released Wire last week. After secretly working on Wire for so long it’s a bit scary to finally let it loose into the wild and see if it can stand on its own legs. But we are very happy that Wire is so well received!
We really enjoyed reading all your nice comments, like this one from @mongo_zen:
"Dear @Resolume wire, im climbing inside your patch cables and never leaving. I live here now."
Anton Marini, the creator of Syphon, better known as @_vade in the VJ community writes:
"Wow, gotta hand it to @Resolume - Wire looks fantastic. I feel like it's something I would want to work with. Well done. Plus the ability to compile out closed source patches seems awesome."
Thank you to everyone for giving Wire such a warm welcome!
Help!?
But of course, as with any new product you also have a lot of questions. Our video course should be your starting point, followed up by our articles. The video course is expanding daily so keep an eye out on our YouTube channel. Want to go more in-depth into animation or instancing? Just grab the tutorial series built into Wire. Note that you can always right click a node and open the example patch for that specific node.
Join us on Slack
You can always head over to our Slack community to talk directly to other users, our customer support team and the developers themselves.
Live Stream on Thursdays
We enjoyed our live stream last week so much that we are making it a weekly thing! Join us this week Thursday for the latest on Wire, Arena, Avenue, Juicebar and Alley.
Show and Tell
And please, pretty please, show us some of your work! We are curious to see what you guys and gals are cooking up!

New footage! VibesVJ, VJ Picles, Lior Sadeh Studio
VibesVJ is our latest addition to our portfolio of footage artists. He is working from a desk in France and his loops remind us of those times when a beamer behind the DJ was enough to create a killer atmosphere. Check out his first release called ScifiVisual.
Further, OnBeat by VJ Picles is a high quality rhythmical content and PsychedelicTravels by Lior Sadeh Studio is a pack that mixes itself.

Welcome to Wire!
We’re so excited to finally introduce you to our new addition to the Resolume family, say hello to Wire!
Wire is a modular node-based patching environment to create effects, mixers and video generators for Arena & Avenue.
Why?
Does the world really need another patching environment? Yes, we think it does. There are some truly great patching environments available; Max, Notch, TouchDesigner, vvvv, Vuo, to name just a few. All of these have been around for decades and all have their own purpose, strengths and weaknesses. However none of them tick all our boxes. We want something lightweight, embeddable, cross-platform and most of all, easy to use and learn. That patching environment did not exist yet, and since the days of Quartz Composer we have been frustrated and dreaming about a patching environment that would compliment Arena and Avenue.
Of course Wire can not be compared to patching environments that have been around for decades but it does already prove itself very useful in expanding the capabilities of Arena & Avenue. In fact, you might have already been using Wire effects and generators without even noticing. Remember the Abstract Field source and Acuarela & Tilt Shift effects we added to Arena and Avenue a few versions back? Those are made in Wire! And the best thing is; you can now edit them and make your own variations. Or learn how they were made and create something entirely new.
The Future?
We think we have laid the foundation for a very friendly and capable environment that will only get better over time. We look forward to expanding into new territories in the future like audio playback, synthesis and effects. 3D rendering. More IO protocols. Online content. To name just a few. There is so much fun stuff that can be added to Wire it’s hard to decide what to do first. Help us prioritize what to do next, by telling us what you would like to be added in the future.
Help!
Wire includes a lot of example patches that get you going very quickly. The welcome screen will help you to get started right away. For every node there is a documentation patch that explains exactly what it does. Check out the in-depth support articles that explain the concepts behind Wire. Of course you are free to ask any question on our forum but also join our growing Slack community where you can get very quick feedback via chat. We look forward to you feedback on Wire!
